Quail Park Memory Care Residences of Visalia takes great pride in announcing our very own Penny Williams as the California Assisted Living Award’s (CALA) 2017 winner for the Northern California Excellence in Service as the Outstanding Department Director!
Penny plans to share the award with her residents and team, whom she states, “Without them, this would not be possible….because it takes a village!”
What makes her special and unique is that Penny has been heard many times saying, “Big events are fun, but the day-to-day is what counts: when the camera is not on, when families are not here, when the boss isn’t watching…what we do with our residents and their families, how we interact, keeping them engaged, stimulated, and giving them a purpose everyday is what matters most.”
Accomplishing this everyday, regardless of who is watching, is what makes her special. She is such a valuable asset to this company and loved so much by residents and their families. They are who matter to her. Nobody else’s opinion but the residents and their happiness is what makes her stand out and deserving of this award. Penny’s heart, enthusiasm, dedication and out-of-the-box thinking has created a program like no other. We do not call it Activities here, we call it “Life Engagement,” and she is our Life Engagement Lead. She truly practices her title and enhances all of our lives, especially our residents, with her presence.
The team and management in the building, to our home office, residents and families all stand behind this nomination. She is a Superstar and Godsent to all of us.
